FAITHFUL PROVIDER

Well, I have been young and now I have grown old,
Yet the righteous isn't forsaken or begging bread,
God has been quite faithful, He has kept His Word,
Indeed, every verse of Scripture I have ever read.

Now Jesus said that if we seek first the Kingdom,
We would be assured of never suffering any lack,
Well, I can vouch that what the Lord stated is true,
Because I am sure God has always had my back.

I am certainly not rich, I don't have my own house,
Man, I cannot even afford to buy myself a new car,
But that's quite okay because I'm comfy as can be,
And someday I will shine like the brightest star.
