Faithfulness is being obedient to God, And doing your very best in your tasks, It's denying yourself and your pleasures, And just doing whatever the Lord asks. Faithfulness also means being full of faith, And knowing that God is trustworthy too, It is confidence that despite your trials, God will always reliably see you through.

Forsaking all they serve Him daily, As they sow His seed in the field, Personal desires take 2nd place, As to their Father’s will they yield. They’re on a very sacred mission, Tending to this world full of wheat, Striving to bring it into His barns, Lest it should perish in the heat. They remain focused on their duty, Though the Devil tries to distract, They are not ignorant of his tricks, For Father has truly got their back. I labor not for this present world, It is merely wood, hay and stubble, If your foundation is not the Lord, Someday you will be in big trouble. People today are so very deceived, Seeking only power, money & fame, So blinded by the temporary things, Wrapped up in that old Devil's game. Never considering what comes next, Once their life on Earth is through, Doing what appeals to their flesh, They just really don't have a clue. But as for you I hope you are smart, And have heard God's higher call, For if you obey Him in present life, You will not ever be ashamed at all. We are on a temporary assignment, Just until we can get the job done, Then in God’s predetermined time, We will all joyfully return to the Son. We are like secret undercover agents, Sent by God’s government on high, We search for the Devil’s prisoners, So we can set them free from his lie. But old Satan has his soldiers too, Oh how they work to slow us down, They don’t want all of his captives, To ever receive their eternal crown. And thus we each must battle daily, As we spread the truth of God’s light, Our time here may be growing short, As fast approaches a spiritual night. Whether it's five talents or ten, Yes, invest them in God's field, Don't dare foolishly bury them, Rather fruit they should yield. We don't know what will result, Thirty, or sixty, or maybe more, Just use whatever God gives, And He will be pleased I'm sure. If we should decide to slack off, Yes, just waste what God gave, He'll be very disappointed in us, That is no way for us to behave. In the Bible we learn quite a lot, About a particular fruitless tree, Jesus chose to curse that thing, And eventually it ceased to be. The Lord taught about branches, Which were thrown into the fire, That is just what might happen, So of serving God don't you tire.
