I hear from God, He spoke to me, He even gives me real prophecy. My connection to Him is so great, I know the truth down to the date. So don't you dare come to my page, Pretending to be some great sage. Yes, now go ahead and take a walk, Just keep it up, and you I'll block." Now and then I will meet such folks, They are not really humble blokes. What they teach is on the fringe, Man, they really make me cringe! Dare disagree and they will rant, Change their mind, no you just can't. So convinced that they know it all, There's no getting through their wall. While servants of God they may be, They totally lack in true humility. So if you meet one on some fine day, My advice is that you do not stay. Over and over they have told us, While the years keep passing by, Something's seriously wrong here, Have they been promoting a lie? Clearly, every single one of them, Has eventually fallen on their face, One false prediction after another, It is really such a terrible disgrace. But why do they all keep failing? What is it that they refuse to see? Now if I may offer my own opinion, They've misunderstood prophecy. Yes, trying to force the Scriptures, To conform to their point of view, Is not the way to teach the Bible, It could result in a confusing stew. If they try to make some verse say, What the Lord just did not intend, There is certainly a good chance, The Most High they could offend. DATE SETTERS -- a poem and song by BBB #Poetry #Poem DATE SETTERS by Bill Kochman https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry 08-28-2024 They assured us Jesus is coming, I waited patiently for many years, Alas, finally the great day arrived, But my sad face is awash in tears. I believed with much anticipation, Yet no signs appeared in the sky, Just clouds, stars and moon glow, Thus now I am asking myself why. The answer is really quite simple, Such date setters are never right, They claim they had a revelation, But it wasn’t God’s heavenly light. Such thots are often born of pride, And a desire to be someone great, Oh, yes, a wonderful holy prophet, But they took that old Devil’s bait. It is better to serve with humility, Than try to establish one’s name, For if you should prophesy falsely, You will surely be left with shame. But even much more importantly, Is the faith you may even destroy, So you better get right with God, Remember His gifts are not a toy.
