#Poetry #Poem POLI TICKS by Bill Kochman 01-17-2023 Oh those poli ticks, poli ticks, Getting underneath our skin, Always sucking on our lives, Why is it we can never win? Our lives are already so hard, But they do not have a clue, Passing bills to tax us more, What are we supposed to do? Living in expensive mansions, Kids going to the best schools, Health insurance is the finest, Are we merely just their tools? They rake in so many millions, But we barely make ends meet, They wear the latest fashions, We have sandals on our feet. They are supposed to serve us, But they’ve forgotten their task, They shake hands, kiss babies, Yes they wear the perfect mask. They are all career politicians, Serving themselves is their life, It just does not seem to matter, Their laws cut us like a knife.

#Poetry #Poem MAKE 'EM BLEED! by Bill Kochman 08-23-2024 The distraction faction is working hard, Boy, just watch them digging up the dirt, Both parties so busy looking for rumors, They want to make their opponents hurt. It does not matter if what's said isn't true, As long as people believe, well it is okay, You gotta make them look the very worst, So they will really flop come election day. That's my boy! Just go dig up some mud, And throw it right in your opponent's face, Rip them apart and just make them bleed, So they can't possibly ever take first place. There is just no time for trying to play nice, You’ve worked so hard to make it this far, So don't be a wimp, take off those gloves, Show that bozo that you are one true star.

#Poetry #Poem POLLS AND HOLES by Bill Kochman 08-09-2024 Don’t believe all of the news, Don’t believe all of the polls, Forget about the politicians, Their stories are full of holes. First they will say one thing, And then they will say that, They are just like a magician, Pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Now concerning actual truth, It’s whatever they wanna say, But it can get darn confusing, Because it changes everyday. And so their battle rages on, As they work to control minds, Hiding the real facts from us, They want us wearing blinds. Saying anything to get a vote, Tho promises are rarely kept, For once they get into office, Under the carpet it's all swept. Thus they all play their game, Whether pollster or some pol, A battle of deceptive words, To win your body mind & soul.

#Poetry #Poem MERRY-GO-ROUND by Bill Kochman 07-11-2022 We all live on a merry-go-round, Where the horses are all the same, Problems just keep on repeating, But no one wants to take the blame, It is just wash, rinse and repeat, As those horses pile up the money, While we struggle to survive daily, Our lives are far from being sunny. Our nation is filled with abortion, We often hear of a mass shooting, Tell me, does it honestly matter, For which party we are rooting? Nothing really seems to change, The pols live in their own bubble, But for those of us on the bottom, For food and gas we pay double. They keep on promising us a fix, While they spend decades in DC, It is time to boot out old horses, They don't care about you and me.

To them facts aren't so important, They'll say whatever to win a poll, So happy to cast dirt on opponents, As their lies take a dreadful toll. It doesn't really matter the party, Those politicians are all the same, Convincing you they did not do it, It's the opposition that's to blame. Forget about the important issues, They distract you with red herrings, They will sow doubts and suspicion, So the opponent loses his bearings. A cruel political fight for survival, Only one party can take that crown, Thus they'll pull out all the stops, Just to take that other man down.

So when some pol comes to town, Strive to keep that guy on track, And if he won’t answer questions, Tell him he is not welcome back!

But the great illusion has to go on, So the elitists string us all along. Your party goes to one extreme, The opposite of that other team. Oh how swell the game plays out, Do you know what it is all about? Yes it’s just controlled opposition, It never changes your condition. You work hard and pay every bill, So why is your life still so uphill? We are peons to an unseen hand, Money is their power in this land.
