Yes, on the left and on the right, Just one bloody campaign fight. Pull out the big guns & cast dirt, So your opponent you can hurt. Fill your ads with some huge lies, So the other guy voters despise. Smear 'em good, give no chance, People won't give them a glance. Spend lots of money to be heard, Even if your claims are so absurd. Bury him deep so he won't survive, You are left standing alone & alive. Indeed, campaign season is here, When they want to tickle your ear. All year long they don't care at all, How it changes when arrives Fall. Suddenly your problems they see, Such hypocrites, don't you agree? All they desire is to get your vote, About what they did they all gloat. Making promises they won't keep, But are you really still so asleep?

There are many issues, Can we hear her take? Or is she just so afraid, She'll make a mistake? Good at making salads, Is not what we all need, Use your teleprompter, If you just have to read. But please get out there, Show you have got guts, Forget all your excuses, Yep, no ifs, ands or buts. Now if you fail to do this, You will sink your boat, Folks losing confidence, And there goes their vote.

CLONES! by Bill Kochman 08-17-2024 Clones, clones, everywhere clones, Everyone seems to want the credit, But some pol had to promise it first, So well the other one needs to edit. Just as Hollywood makes remakes, These pols out of ideas seem to be, So they go & steal from each other, Man, it is quite the political fantasy. When I'm elected I'll keep my word, Lives will certainly be much better, Oh yeah, just wash, rinse & repeat, But what if you're held to the letter? And thus those politicians compete, As they each strive to get your vote, But as for me, I do not trust a word, Just throw them all out of the boat!

Pledging to keep their promises, But not until some future date. “Vote for me!” they like to shout, And I will surely get the job done, But after they have won election, The promises kept are not a one. And yet the strangest thing of all, Is that when promises are made, They already have a federal job, And they’re being quite well paid. So the real question we must ask. Is why they promise so far ahead, Shouldn’t they fix problems now, Before so many are already dead? Thus the key point I want to make, Is the folly of trusting in such men, If they don’t resolve issues today, Why even trust them to do it then?

You will listen very closely to their speech, Trying your very best to figure them out, But quite frankly when they have finished, You are still wondering what it was about. It certainly seemed great for a sound bite, As they rattled off their various thoughts, Yet despite all of their interesting talking, Your confused brain is still tied up in knots. But then as you decide to take more time, To more clearly decipher what they said, You suddenly arrive at the firm realization, They were really messing with your head. No, they did not actually give information, Or tell you the positions where they stood, They just so slyly kept stringing you along, So you still question ...
