TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE! -- a poem and song by BBB

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE

The judgments of the Lord are just.
Although sinful men may not agree,
Because He's such a merciful Father,
He holds back His hand so patiently.
Even tho we become very rebellious,
God gives us so much time to repent,
But if we refuse to learn our lessons,
Then eventually judgment will be sent.
Oh yes how we'll groan and howl then,
As blessings are switched for a curse,
If we refuse to wake up by that time,
Our situation may still get even worse.
Yet how much easier it would've been,
If we'd been humble & bent the knee,
But foolish pride just would not let us,
And so we kept sinning so stubbornly.
Well, the great God finally determined,
That only wrath would turn us around,
That is why we now sit here suffering,
Our nation to ashes has been ground.
