#Poetry #Poem https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry ATHEIST by Bill Kochman 05-13-2019 I met this atheist the other day, Boy, did that guy know how to rant, There's so much scientific evidence, To believe in your God I just can't. The fossil record is so very clear, The Earth is billions of years old, So get your head out of the sand, Forget that stuff you've been told. That book you read is a fairy tale, Its stories are allegories at best, As for me, I embrace modern math, And all our theories pass the test. I don't need some great God above, The Big Bang is really fine by me, A cosmic explosion very long ago, Is just how everything came to be. Now as for man and his modern state, Anthropology surely holds the key, My ancestors were quite hairy guys, They would swing from tree to tree. Now by this time I had had enough, This fellow was sounding so absurd, It was clear his mind was made up, He had zero respect for God's Word. With a smile I gave that man a tract, It e...

#Poetry #Poem https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry REPROBATE by Bill Kochman 02-10-2023 I just don't care what you say, And I don't care what you do, You just shoot off your mouth, But you really don't have a clue. You claim that God is not real, A figment of my imagination, Just keep talking in that way, You'll soon feel His indignation. Yes, you can go ahead and rant, Even take God's name in vain, Be mindful He keeps a record, And you will take the blame. Every act of foolish rebellion, Each time you rejected His Son, When you scoffed at preachers, And claimed Jesus isn't the one. You are digging your own grave, With each vile word you speak, Satan's got a hot cell for you, Would you like to take a peek?

#Poetry #Poem MOCKER by Bill Kochman 08-27-2024 They say there's none so blind, As the man who refuses to see, Although you tell him the truth, Yet he still much prefers to flee. He will hide alone in darkness, As he proudly resists the light, He will harden his wicked heart, Although he knows you're right. Laughing from his dark corner, He will mock our righteous God, Oh what misguided foolishness, For someday he will feel the rod. But for now he just doesn't care, Thus he will fling verbal abuse, He will call you childish names, He's hoping to shake you loose. However if you resist his taunts, Just watch how angry he will get, He realizes he hasn't any power, To ever make you really upset. That man is a child of the Devil, So the Devil's work he must do, But he will face an angry God, When his sad life is finally thru.

#Poetry #Poem FUNNY GUY? by Bill Kochman 02-18-2023 Now you may think you're funny, Oh yes, I am sure that you do, But wait until the game is over, And your life is finally through. You believe that's where it ends, Someone grows old & then dies, But man, I have got to tell you, You'll be in for one big surprise. Standing in the presence of God, With nothing to hide your shame, He won't listen to your excuses, And you'll have to take the blame. So many chances God gave you, To accept the Sacrifice of His Son, Yet you foolishly ignored His Gift, Now just look at what you've done. There's simply no room in Heaven, For a rebellious fool such as you, You boasted that there is no God, You should have thought it through.

#Poetry #Poem COEXISTENCE? by Bill Kochman https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry 02-12-2023 Ever wider grows the gap, As the years pass us by, Some folks embrace truth, While others just the lie. There is a mighty sifting, The wheat from the tare, Some choose only Jesus, Others the prince of the air. The darkness and the light, There's no common ground, God's Word we will uphold, They don't want us around. Our flame is just too bright, It blinds them in their eyes, They say we are the villains, Who they hate and despise. Now just leave us all alone, And let us live as we will, All your Gospel preaching, Can't you see it's overkill? You claim to know the truth, But we have ours as well, So stop your condemnation, Please no more talk of Hell. Such is the tragic mindset, Of those folks who are lost, They will defend their sins, Yes, regardless of the cost. Yet we continue preaching, As this world turns away, The truth may yet get thru, To wake them up some day.
