When Jesus' hour finally did arrive, and God the Father lifted His cloak of protection from Jesus so that His Divine Will could be accomplished through the persecution, suffering, Crucifixion and Resurrection of His own dear Son by the unbelieving Jews, what did Jesus say in that hour? Consider the following verse:

"When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

As long as we are pleasing in His sight, and fulfilling His Will for our lives, God will continue to protect us from the power of darkness of this present world:

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"
Colossians 1:13, KJV
