PACIFIERS

by Bill Kochman

11-26-2017

Oh how baby loves his pacifier,
Don't dare try to take it out,
If you make such a foolish move,
He'll fight and scream and shout.

How dare you try to take away,
What gives him pleasure so grand,
Do it again, you've been warned,
That kid may even bite your hand.

Our babies always seem so cute,
Cooing so sweetly all the time,
But just take what's in his mouth,
And he will commit a major crime.

Just like old Jekyll and Hyde,
He will turn into a wild beast,
His growls will even scare the dog,
As on your hand he begins to feast.

So it's best to leave the kid alone,
Let him suck on that rubber thing,
After all, you need both your hands,
To do just about everything.
