A DIFFERENT COURSE

Republican, Independent or Democrat,
I pledge no allegiance to the above,
You see, my service and my loyalty,
I reserve for God's Kingdom of Love.

My banner bears no earthly colors,
For the wars of men I take no arm,
I trust the Lord for my protection,
He always keeps me from all harm.

Passing pilgrims the Bible calls us,
Earth isn't our final dwelling place,
Motivated by a great heavenly vision,
We strive to finish this life's race.
