TWO DOLLAR BILLS
As some of you may know, some $2.00 bills are still in circulation. However, they were more common when I was a young kid back during the 1950s and 1960s. But even rarer than that is the hard-to-find $1.50 dollar bill. Has anyone seen one lately?
I think the original idea behind the $1.50 note was that the US government wasn’t certain if the American public would be willing to accept the $2 bill. Thus, they decided to go halfway by printing $1.50 notes first in order to gauge public opinion.
